What is

Melody Mamas?

A free 10-week Care Program offering nourishing freezer meals and weekly house cleaning for postpartum Mamas who are facing mental health challenges or a real lack of family or spousal support.

Who is Eligible?

  • Mamas who are less than 3 months postpartum at the time of application

  • Mamas who can demonstrate documented mental health challenges, or a lack of familial or spousal support

  • Currently, we can only service Mamas in the 4551 postcode

  • Currently, we can only provide regular meals (no allergen accomodations or dietary preferences)

  • While Melody Mamas exists to serve new Mamas as an act of charity and of faithfulness to Jesus Chris, we do not ask about your faith during the application, selection, or service process. Mamas of all beliefs are welcome to apply

Applying

  • Applying as an Expectant Mama: We only review applications from Mamas who are 20+ weeks into their pregnancies

  • Applying as a Postpartum Mama: You are still able to apply even if you’ve already given birth, however we only review applications from Mamas who are less than 3 months postpartum

  • Nomations: Know a Mama who could use the extra support? You can nominate on their behalf, provided you can adequately speak to their eligibility

Selection Process

  • While we wish we could service every application that comes through, currently we can only select 2 Mamas to support at any given time

  • Mamas are selected based on their level of need and ability to demonstrate / prove their circumstances, through a mixture of formal documentation and over the phone interviews

  • While this mission was formed as an act of charity to glorify God and His love, you will not be asked about nor selected based on your personal faith

  • Are You a Registered Not For Profit?
    No. Melody Mamas is run by an individual as an act of charity. As such, there is no company structure, legal assurances or binding agreements that are offered. There is no profit model or record keeping beyond our email footprint. Learn more about the person behind the mission here

  • How is Melody Mamas Funded?
    Melody Mamas is purely serviced out-of-pocket at our own personal expense. We are budget-savvy when crafting our nutritionally balanced meals, and happy to donate our time for the cleaning service portion of the Care Program

  • Can I Donate to Melody Mamas?
    No, we are not a registered not-for-profit. If you are looking to help Melody Mamas maintain its service offerings, you are welcome to give a gift. Gifts are not tax deductible, and are not logged or publicly shared. While we appreciate honesty and transparency, the small scope of this program would become easily unmanageable if an added admin-burden were required in this way. We do not ever ask for nor advertise seeking monetary gifts. Gifts can be discussed by emailing contact.melodymamas@gmail.com
